Ponpish Passport Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy ("Policy") sets forth the principles of handling and protecting personal information acquired from users by ANW Inc. (hereinafter referred to as "the Company"), in accordance with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information of Japan (Act No. 57 of 2003, hereinafter the "APPI") and other applicable laws and regulations. The Company is committed to managing personal information properly and in good faith. Unless otherwise defined herein, terms used in this Policy shall have the meanings set forth in the APPI.

1. Purpose of Use of Personal Information

The Company collects and uses personal information for the following purposes:
For registration and user authentication for services provided by the Company (“Services”), as well as user account management

To provide the Company’s products and Services

To provide information on products, services, campaigns, and events of the Company and its affiliates

To prevent and address violations of the Company’s terms, policies, or fraudulent activities

To notify users of changes to this Policy, the Company’s Services, or related terms

To respond to inquiries, report service usage, provide emergency notifications, identify and resolve bugs or system failures, and provide customer support

For service maintenance, support, and other essential communications

For surveys, market research, promotional campaigns, and prize contests

For marketing research and analysis, and for planning and implementing marketing strategies

To deliver or promote content, advertisements, or solicitations based on user interests and behaviors, either by the Company or third parties

To improve, develop, and plan new services and products

To enhance usability, retain session information, and understand usage behavior to improve service experience

To create and use statistical data that does not identify individuals

To provide information to third parties as outlined in this Policy

To exercise legal rights or fulfill obligations based on contracts or applicable laws

For other purposes incidental to the above

  1. Changes to Purpose of Use
    If the Company changes the purpose of use of personal information, such changes will remain within a reasonable scope related to the original purpose. Users will be notified or the changes will be published.
  2. Acquisition of Personal Information
    The Company will collect personal information in a lawful and appropriate manner. It will not obtain information through deception or other wrongful means.
  3. Restrictions on Use and Provision to Third Parties
    (1) The Company will not use personal information beyond the necessary scope of the stated purposes nor disclose personal information to third parties without user consent, except in the following cases:
    When required by law

When necessary to protect life, health, or property and it is difficult to obtain user consent

When necessary for public health or the sound upbringing of children and it is difficult to obtain user consent

When it is necessary to cooperate with a government agency or local authority in the execution of legally mandated tasks and obtaining user consent would hinder such execution

In other cases permitted by law

(2) Notwithstanding the above, the Company may provide user information to business partners involved in information delivery, advertising, analytics, and effectiveness measurement. Users agree to such third-party provision by accepting this Policy. The handling of personal information by third-party partners shall follow their respective privacy policies.
5. Security Management
The Company will take necessary and appropriate measures to prevent unauthorized access, leakage, loss, or damage of personal information. For inquiries about these measures, please refer to “10. Contact.”
6. Requests for Disclosure, etc.
The Company will respond to user requests regarding disclosure, correction, deletion, and suspension of use of their retained personal data as follows:
(1) Users may request notification of purpose, or disclosure of their personal information or third-party provision records. Upon confirming the identity of the user, the Company will disclose such information via electronic records or written format. If such records do not exist or are not subject to disclosure, users will be notified. A fee of ¥1,000 will be charged per request.
(2) Users may request corrections, additions, or deletions to their personal information. Upon verifying the request and investigating as necessary, the Company will make updates as appropriate.
(3) Users may request the suspension of use or third-party provision of their personal information. The Company will act accordingly in compliance with the APPI.
7. Use of Cookies
The Company may collect and use Cookie information (such as username, pages viewed, time spent on the site, and referring/exit websites) to enhance user experience. Users can disable cookies via browser settings, but some functions may become unavailable.
8. Use of External Services
To analyze usage, retrieve video content, and display relevant advertisements, the Company uses third-party services listed below. These services may collect and use Cookie information in accordance with their own privacy policies:
